Tiger Campaign held on 20.03.2010 at Ranthambore National Park. This was a big event organized by Tiger Trust, Forest Department and HSBC Bank for the benefit of the children. This is the second interactive series between the students of Clemson and local schools. The students of Alpha Public School and Government Senior Secondary School, Sawaimadhopur participated in the programme along with their teachers Smt. Priti Sharma and others. The total number of students present were nearly 150. The programme was inaugurated by Shri Vikas Kumar, Superintendent of Police, and Shri Shekhawat, D.F.O., Ranthambore National Park. The programme was started with Saraswati Vandana and garlanding of the guests from the University. The students displayed remarkable knowledge on global warming, man-animal conflict and their sensitive concern towards the wildlife crimes. There were number of dances given by young students and it was much appreciated by the participants. The students of Clemson presented a wonderful skit on the recent incident of the death of two tigers which shook the audience. It was a wonderful presentation and a contribution by the students to the cause. Ms Anjana Gosain pledged the support of Tiger Trust to the cause of saving the forest and the tiger. The best participants were given prices and gifts were distributed to all the students. The event was closed with extremely well played sports event of football, handball and other games and two teams were prepared by Mr. Sharma, the physical instructor. The Chief Guest promised the students that the administration would make all efforts to make Sawaimadhopur a non-plastic zone and would start the activity with these students to initiate the programme. The audience, students, teachers, forest staff pledged their support to the cause. The programme ended with thanks to all the organizers by Tiger Trust particularly to Shri Arun Sharma and Shri Om Prakash who were responsible for making it a grand success with all the support from Tiger Trust through Ms Anjana Gosian and HSBC Bank.
