Welcome to Tiger Trust |

The Tiger Trust was established in 1989 in order to further the mission
of Nature Conservation, Tiger Conservation in particular. Tiger Conservation and
the crusade to save the Tiger are our premier activities.
Tiger Trust was founded by Late Padmashri Mr. Kailash Sankhala, who was the Founder Director of Project Tiger, Government of India. He was known as 'The Tiger Man of India'. In fact, he spearheaded the mission of Tiger Conservation in the country.
He wrote many books, some of them on Tigers. He was well respected and honoured
for his work. The Government of India has instituted the National Fellowship for
Research on Wildlife in recognition of his works. The State Award for Wildlife Conservation
by the Rajasthan Government is also dedicated to Mr. Kailash Sankhala.
Following his footsteps, his son Late Mr. Pradeep Sankhala furthered the cause of
Tiger Trust. He comes from the famous Sankhala family who has got a long history
in Tiger conservation. Mr. Sankhala strengthened the mission of Tiger Trust by spreading
its message not only in India but in abroad too. His innovation and hard work paid
dividend as wildlife activists, amateur enthusiasts, tourists and even youngsters
got involved in the mission of saving the Indian Tiger. He left for his heavenly
abroad when he met with an accident in the lap of the Nature in Canada while touring
there to garner support for the cause of conservation of the Indian Tiger.
